·   I worked, and coordinated with TWC Engineering, Sales dept. and Installation crews.

·   I Coordinating with contractors, and customers.

·   My job was to work with business customers only.

·   Sales would request a survey to a prospective customer; to determine the accessibility from the existing fiber cable ring. Once the determination was completed, I would set up a site meeting, to coordinate with all interest parties.

·   The survey would include the duel entrances, Engineering SONET, DWDM, Central Office/Common Systems, and Ethernet Switching.

·   Routing inside duct, plenum cable, equipment locations, and taking measurements for the wiring, and also Grounding accessibility. I then would draw up the project on VISIO CAD; I would make up a distribution chart, and map assigning dark fiber to new customer’s location. 

·   I would then coordinate the construction.

 

ADESTA LLC, Lynchburg, VA                                                                                  08-2004 to 05-2005

Engineered Fiber Cable and Construction Managed

 

·   The project was a revitalization project that was funded by Big Tobacco money. The project was a 750 mile fiber optic project.

·   The start of the project was Farmville, VA, and finished in Petersburg, VA.

·   The project involved: Site acquisitions, Make Ready engineering, using a Tremble GPS data collecting system.

·   The Make Ready was engineered, and mapped to be turned over to the pole owners for their approval.

·   The fiber cable was both aerial, and underground.

·   Permits to Virginia Dept. of Transportation, and Railroads, Cities, Counties, and DOD to cross Military reservations.

·   I also met with property owners to negotiate POP sites, and running lines if necessary.

 

Sprint, Kernersville, NC                                                                                           01-2003 to 04-2004

OSP Engineer for Outsource

 

·   Design copper, fiber cable jobs, and OPEC projects.

·   Reworking an entire Service area.

·   Placing new feeder, and distribution.

·   I engineered road move projects new and old subdivisions, coordinated with State City, and county permitting divisions.

·   The position was to engineer and rehab existing copper cables throughout the Cleveland Ohio area, it included both residential and business.

·   Refurbishing both aerial and underground the project ended due to the 9-11 attack on the United States.

 

KMC TELECOM LLC, Fayetteville, NC                                                                     02-1998 to 11-2001

Project Engineer

 

·   My projects were Fayetteville NC, Wilmington NC, and Fort Bragg NC.

·   I was a Project Engineer during the design phase.

·   I managed the construction during building phase.

·   I placed a 41 miles of aerial and buried fiber optic ring around Fayetteville, and 10 mile ring around Fort Bragg, with a 28 mile aerial and buried ring around Wilmington NC.

·   The entire jobs had to have make ready completed and approved, by pole owners.

·   Once the construction was complete, I worked with the sales, building laterals to new customer’s installation of equipment collocating with other carriers, along with Public Works Fiber System.

·   I maintained a warehouse with materials needed for expansion.

·   I acquired Site locations, and I planned, and managed the dark fiber keeping a fiber distribution and assignment map

·   This was supposed to be a position with longevity, KMC’s management over extended its finances, and was forced to go bankrupt.

 

Sprint, Fayetteville, NC                                                                                             04-1996 to 01-1998

Sr. Project Engineer

 

·   I worked in the Fayetteville Engineering office my duties were engineering fiber projects, copper projects, service orders, and road move coordination’s.

·   I drew all my projects on Sprint EWO, PACS systems.

·   I engineered the first fiber subdivision in the Fayetteville area.

 

Sprint, El Paso, Texas                                                                                               09-1995 to 03-1996

Contracted for AEROTEK

 

·   I worked for Sprint Long Line out of Phoenix, AZ.

·   My job was to engineer, and replace a 22 mile fiber optic cable that was damaged by the railroad several times in the same area.

·   I was to reroute the cable to Interstate 10, and back to the railroad.

·   The plan was to replace the single mode cable with a dual mode fiber cable.

·   Sprint requested a Geodetic Survey and to provide HEC GIS lode data design information on all major dry washes.

·   The project was completed on time, and brought in under budget.
